EXPERIENCE - VISION - FACTS - RESULTS
I love Mill Valley, our mountainside village, my home of 22 years, where my husband Jim and I
raise our 2 children. I want to keep it a great place to live.

Mill Valley is not immune to the forces of change. The challenge we face is to keep the Mill Valley
we love by addressing environmental imperatives and making choices that sustain our small town
character. We need a bold vision integrating land use with transportation to improve our quality of
life.

In 14 years as Aide to two Southern Marin Supervisors, I have helped initiate programs that
reduced neighborhood traffic street design, shuttles, safe bike lanes, pedestrian paths and better
transit. In 4 years as a Mill Valley Planning Commissioner, I have protected community character
and habitat, advocating watershed approaches to assure beauty, safety and flood protection.

With a proven record of reaching out and listening, I will bring people together to find
community-supported solutions that help Mill Valley endure. I will work with you for better transit,
encouraging our small businesses and sustaining family-friendly and senior services.
EXPERIENCEI have 14 years experience working as Aide to County Supervisors Charles McGlashan and Annette Rose addressing
many of the same issues that will face the Mill Valley City Council. I have also served for 4 years on the Mill Valley Planning Commission, as
well as Safe Routes to School (2006-present), Richardson-Bay Safe Neighborhoods Team (2006- present), and Tamalpais High School
Traffic Committee (2006 – present).

VISION – I believe in a positive, open-minded and inclusive approach to resolving our common issues. A vision worth having is one that is
bold and looks to identify and address the challenges of the future with enthusiasm and purposeful, informed action. Our choices – in land use,
transportation, environmental protection, energy use – should be guided by our vision of the City we wish to leave to our children and
grandchildren.

FACTS – I believe wise and successful choices on difficult issues must be based on facts, carefully and fully considered. I will do the
homework necessary to make informed judgments on the issues.

RESULTS – I have helped start the successful Muir Woods Shuttle, initiated programs for community traffic relief and safe routes to
school, brought about the creation of a private transit service for transporting Marin school children to a SF high school, reducing car trips and
emissions. I will bring people together. I listen, find workable solutions and take action with sustainable results.
